ONE MIMUTE PODIUM PRESENTATION

One minute PODIUM presentation will be held prior to the poster presentation session. All poster session speakers are requested to prepare for it, as well as the poster session. In the one minute presentation session, each speaker has only one minute to present, without any disscussion time. So, the audience can listen the essence of the poster session in half an hour.

We believe this new attempt will be a great highlight in this symposium.

However, since we have almost 30 speakers in this session, we would like to proceed with the session without time delay. We ask your cooperation.

And, in order to fulfill various requests of the presentation style, we offer three options as below.

ALL SPEAKERS ARE REQUESTED TO ANSWER YOUR OPTION NUMBER TO "isabmec2006@abmech.org" NO LATER THAN JUNE 22.

(1) You can submit your Powerpoint or PDF file in advance.

Please send it to "isabmec2006@abmech.org" NO LATER THAN JUNE 28.

In this option, you can attach only one Powerpoint/PDF file without any movie files. The file should be less than 10MB.

It can include multiple pages.

We recommend this option because we have sufficient time to check the file and the change of speaker in the presentation will be quick, and because you do not have to bring your laptop or any data media to the venue.

(2) You can submit your Powerpoint of PDF file at the registration desk on site. If you bring your laptop, you do not have to prepare any data media because we will prepare an USB stick memory to transfer the data. If you do not bring your laptop, please copy the data to your USB memory stick, CD-R, or DVD-R and bring the media to the registration desk. Please do not use MO disk.

In this option, you can use any movie files.

(3) You can use your own laptop.

Although we believe the above two options will satisfy most of the speakers, some speaker might to use your own laptop for various reasons, for example, different platform such as Macintosh and Linux, different software for presentation, or special environment.

In this case, you have to choose this option.

In this option, since your laptop is connected to the D-sub 9pin jack on the projector, please do not forget to bring your adaptor cable, if your laptop has to use it.

CORE TIME

In the poster sessions, presenters have to prepare a presentation of 90min. 45 min core time is included in this period. During the core time, speakers have to stand in front of their own poster. If the last digit of the paper number is odd/even, the core time is the first/latter half of the presentation time.

Posters should be mounted in the morning on July 4th and be removed just after the poster session is over (not later than 17:00)

POSTER SIZE

A0 portrait, 118 cm (46.56 inch) high and 84 cm (33.07 inch) width.

Please prepare push pins for displaying posters on the poster panel.

Do not use any of double-sided sticky tapes, glues, and adhesive materials.

POSTER MAP

Poster map will be displayed at Foyer and the registration desk during the symposium.  Poster index (paper number) will be displayed on the upper left of each poster panel in advance.

NOTE

No tables and no AC outlets are set up in front of poster panels. If you would like to use a chair, please ask the staff at the registration desk in advance. You can put your laptop PC on it during the poster session (please charge up the battery of your laptop PC before the poster session).
